When You Don’t Know What To Say…

When I was growing up, my Mom or Dad would asked one of the kids to pray before meals and we would always say,”Jesus, thank you for this food. Amen.”

Praying aloud is like a baby learning to talk.  The first time I attended a prayer meeting and prayed with a group, all I can say was, “Lord, thank you for everything.” It was always a struggle to pray. The act of praying publicly scares me to death but even if I felt that way, I never gave up. I kept praying with others throughout the years.

When my family was struck with a crisis, God brought Karen L in my life. She provided the words our family needed during those times. When my mind was preoccupied she directed me to God’s word. It was through this experience that I realized she was actually coaching me how to pray! At the same time, I was also coaching my family to fast and pray.  I can truly say we were blessed and there was victory! I believe in the power of prayer.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

When you are new at praying and you don’t know what to say…it can be intimidating but don’t worry help is on the way! My newly released book is great for beginner prayer warriors but also refreshing for old-timers. The book is composed of prayers for self, husband, wife, children, home, success, direction and a host of life’s issues.

For an effective prayer life, you need to connect to the source of power. I arranged the prayers by importance so that if you are not currently plugged-in then you can establish connection.

Let your prayer journey begin!
