Little Caleb praying for direction
When we teach our child/children to pray, we are giving him/them a precious gift. If we start them early like Caleb’s parents did, then we can have peace that we are doing it right.
There are endless list of things that we would like to give or do for our children. Some of them cost money and some don’t. When my children were growing up, I wanted them to be in all kinds of classes and activities. I also wanted to buy a lot of things for them but then, I didn’t have much money. I realized the most important thing I can do is to pray for them. Kids whose parents pray for them have an advantage in life. They are blessed. Even if you train your kids to pray, they may stop praying on their own. But they will always know that somebody is praying for them. They know that there is such a thing called, “prayer.” Pray and love are synonymous in my dictionary.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 KJV
Prayer For Direction
The Lord is my Light-Adonai Ori (Psalm 27:1)
1. Bless The LORD 2. Forgive Others 3. Confess Your Sins 4.Thank The LORD
LORD (Adonai), You are my rock and my fortress. For Your name’s sake, lead me and guide me.
Help me to trust You with all my heart and not to lean on my own understanding. Enable me to acknowledge You in all my ways for You will direct my paths.
Let me hear the words behind me, saying,“This is the way, walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left.”
I am asking You for wisdom. Instruct me and teach me in the way where I should go. Guide me with Your eye.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Your instruction is my lamp and the law (Torah) is my light.
Help me to keep the book of the law (Torah) to meditate on it day and night that I may observe to do all that is written in it. You promised to make my way prosperous and grant me success.
I will cast my burdens on You for You will sustain me. You are my God and my guide forever and ever.
In Jesus’ Name (B’Shem Yeshua). Amen.
